A graduate of the Cortiva Institute of Seattle with prior training at the Brian Utting School of Massage, I’ve been practicing therapeutic massage with a focus on pain relief since 2010. With over 2,000 hours of training and roughly 20,000 massages performed I’m confident I can help people find relief from pain, greater mobility, and deep relaxation.

While I describe my technique as “Deep Tissue” this is something of a misnomer as it doesn’t truly refer to working on deeper structures than any other type of massage. I’ve found over the years that most people looking for the slow, specific, pain relieving bodywork I perform seek out Deep Tissue therapists, and many of the techniques I employ were originally taught to me as such. However, I would encourage patients to think of massage as a conversation between two nervous systems rather than biomechanical, tissue-based changes imposed upon your body by the therapist. Most of the demonstrable benefits of massage are the result of the brain’s natural ability to modulate pain perception, anxiety, and muscle tone, and my work is aimed at helping your brain feel safe enough to make these changes. My style incorporates aspects of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Positional Release, DermoNeuroModulating, and other techniques.

Born and raised in Washington, I live in Birch Bay with my girlfriend, Hilari, and our two dogs, Shelby and Edith.
